This is technically my second attempt at pressing flowers. In my first attempt the instructions I read online told me to change the paper after two days and then leave them to press for two weeks. Unfortunately the flower had too much water still in the petals after those first two days so leaving it for two weeks just made it go brown. So this time I consistently changed the paper every two days. You’ll notice that this flower did not stay intact. During one of the transfers to fresh paper the flower got jostled and half the petals fell out. Options for the future are to cut the flower in half, which will help it lay flat without twisting the petals and allows me to grab the halves by the green part when transferring, or I can choose to press flowers that have larger petals so I can press them individually.
