Making the Internet My Accountability Partner

The weather has been so nice recently. So what did I decide to do to enjoy this great weekend, maybe hike or go to the beach? No instead, I decided to cross off two Massachusetts Bucket List items. I drove with the windows down, through the Mohawk Trail Highway. It was absolutely gorgeous and I really look forward to seeing the fall foliage here. I did stop to check out the Mohawk State Park for future hiking purposes. While I was in Western Mass, I also visited the Yankee Candle Village in Deerfield.

I have mentioned before that I love scented candles so visiting this store was high on my priority list. Not only is it a wonderland of scents, but there are also opportunities to make your own candles, your own scents, or just personalize an existing candle. I decided to make my own candle from the available scents by layering pumpkin and cinnamon cream. There was also a forever Christmas section that was very reminiscent of Disney World with the dedication to the ambience.

Next on my Mass Bucket List are some Boston-specific outings like a whale-watching cruise out of the aquarium and a haunted pub crawl. Of course, I’d love more suggestions if anyone has any recommendations for any Mass or New England related bucket list items.
