Today marks the 108th anniversary of the day President Woodrow Wilson signed the law that created the National Park Service. What better way to celebrate than to visit a National Park? As a fan of hiking, I’m always looking for any opportunity to get outdoors and this should have been a perfect excuse. However, today will be a day of rest for me.
Yesterday I got dressed up to go on a date and originally that outfit included my only pair of heels, which are very comfy. However, I just so happened to get the heel caught in a crack in the sidewalk and I landed hard. As you can see in the featured image my knees are scraped up pretty badly and I also have some minor scrapes on top of both my feet. Additionally, the flats I brought just in case were not as conducive to the amount of walking we would do as I thought they would be. This second poor decision lead to massive blisters on my feet.
It could be a little while before I feel up to significant exercise. However, I already have a planned trip to Montreal soon and I will need to be comfortable walking for long portions of the day. I was hoping some of you could provide some advice on the best ways to heal my scrapes and blisters so I’m back up and ready for adventure.
