In contrast to last week, this last week and a half it was super easy to stick to a low buy. I did find myself browsing online out of boredom a lot more than typical but I never even got the urge to want anything. My only purchase was at a Reebok outlet store where I got new sneakers to replace the old ones that are fraying and a pair of work out leggings, so I can utilize my full workout closet now that I’m going to yoga regularly.
I’ve noticed that while small scale weekly goals are helpful if I can’t zoom out to the bigger picture I am going to discourage myself. This applies not just to my goals around a low buy but also to my goals around my health. Some days and some weeks are just tougher than others, but I can’t lose sight of the bigger picture. As I told a client consistency isn’t about doing the same thing day in and day out it’s about continuously picking yourself back up when you fall.
