Fall Vision Board

Written by:

This post is so much later than I wanted it to be. It very well could be ongoing grief, but things have been so much more difficult for me these past few weeks. I want to recognize that I am sticking to my once a week requirement I set for myself. I am allowing myself to celebrate my progress and be comforted by the fact that despite how hard it felt, it is making me happier in the long run.

I once again used a vision board with fewer photos. This time I chose photos/themes that spoke to me and then found a Canva template that matched my needs. It will be interesting when I transition to yearly vision boards in January what template will best suit my needs and how specific or general I make the pieces of the board.

My most specific things on this board are movie nights, leaf peeping, and a picnic. I already have plans to do a leaf peeping drive up to New Hampshire where I will also go apple picking. I want to take advantage of the last few nice weather days and finally go on a picnic. It’s something that was almost planned months ago, but fell through for various reasons. As the weather gets colder and rainy-er, I plan to make the most of my time by catching up on some movies I’ve been wanting to watch.

In a similar vein I want to keep reading and can’t wait to set up cozy days in for myself. I currently have 5 books on my immediate TBR and it feels a little overwhelming. I have a book on women being career oriented that I was lent by my aunt in June, I was just recently lent a book by a friend that I’d like to read. I started a fantasy trilogy that I love and lent the first book to that same friend, but I’ve been taking a break before starting the last book. During that break I felt I needed some break from fiction so I picked up a book that turned out to be a libertarian manifesto. I’m 60 pages into this 783 page tome. I’m already getting a little bored of the repetitive arguments, so I may not finish, but I want to see how far I get. During this chaos my special someone borrowed a book from the library for me. I’m going to finish that book The Travelling Cat Chronicles by Hiro Arikawa today and probably start the third fantasy book so I can keep up with my friend who is already on book number two.

I have two overarching goals one is weight loss in line with my Rally Coaching sessions. Things are going well so far, I’m struggling to stay on board with incorporating fruits and veg regularly, but I’m trying my best. The other overarching goal is finances. Because I had a number of unexpected expenses incurred last month I still have $800 on my credit card that I haven’t paid off yet. I feel fairly confident I can get it all paid off before Thanksgiving without touching my savings.

The last two are intertwined in many ways. I have been on and off recently about journaling and know I will feel better when I make it more regular. I also intend to engage in more writing broadly. Yes a large part of it will be on here (though I likely won’t be posting more frequently) part of it will be solely for personal use, and part will appear solely on this blog’s dedicated Tumblr (@internetaccountabilitypartner).

I thank you all so much for your patience as I navigate this trying time and can’t wait to get back on board! Photo credits below.
